Ultra-thin, 0.2 mm polypropylene well walls support efficient thermal transfer during cycling. Raised well rims accommodate compatible sealing options, while easy-to-read alphanumeric indexing helps organize samples and identify wells.

What is the difference between non-skirted, half-skirted and full-skirted PCR plates?
The skirt is the frame surrounding the wells. Non-skirted plates have no surrounding skirt, half-skirted plates have a partial skirt and full-skirted plates have a full surrounding skirt. Select the configuration required by your thermal cycler.

Should I choose a 0.1 mL or 0.2 mL PCR plate?
Choose the well volume and plate profile specified for your instrument. Globe Scientific offers 0.1 mL low-profile and 0.2 mL standard options. Well capacity differs from recommended reaction volume; follow your assay and instrument instructions.

Are Globe Scientific PCR plates compatible with my thermal cycler?
The range includes formats for a broad selection of PCR and qPCR instruments. Compatibility depends on the specific plate and instrument model. Review the PCR Plate Selection Guide or contact us for assistance.

What can I use to seal a PCR plate?
Compatible strip caps, sealing mats or sealing films can be used, depending on the plate format. For qPCR, confirm that the seal meets your instrument’s optical requirements.

Can I order barcoded PCR plates?
Yes. Barcoding options are available by special order. Contact us to discuss available configurations.
